What's The Story?

This is an image from a leaflet produced for children by Scope, which tells the story of a child being fitted for leg splints [or orthotics]. Children wear splints for all sorts of reasons related to support and posture.

This illustration demonstrates some of the plastic designs children can request for their splints.

The splints shown below are hinged at the ankle and have velcro and leather straps to fasten them.
