What's The Story?

This illustration is from a book written by Julia Jarman, illustrated by Lynne Chapman and published by Hodder Children's Books called "Class Three All at Sea". It tells the story of a group of school children on their school boat trip. One of the boys in the class wears leg braces. You can see him here, at the prow of the boat, with his stick on the railings.

Children can wear leg braces for a number of reasons including temporary support following surgery or injury.
