What's The Story?

These fresh, delicate water colours show two girls who have been communicating using BSL. They are not saying anything specific - perhaps pausing for a moment - but it would be possible to show a conversation in mid flow. You can find out more about BSL by visiting www.rnid.org.uk or www.ndcs.org.uk. BSL is recognised as an official language and is used in Britain by over 70,000 Deaf People. See our communication section in the Guidance for Illustrators for further information about other signing methods.

It would be a good idea to include speech bubbles to translate the signing if this were in a story
