What's The Story? The child standing on the block has restricted growth and a visual impairment. There are other ways adaptations have been made to support her in taking an equal part in her schooling. She has her own handrail installed on the stairs so she can use them confidently. Door handles are still sometimes out of reach as are bathrooms with their sinks, taps and soap dispensers. The child who inspired this picture thought it was fantastic and took it to bed with her! The same issues pertain for children using wheechairs. Here you might give the water [or sand, or whatever] trough a cut out section for ease of access.
