What's The Story? This is the second photograph showing a girl having her leg splints [sometimes called orthotics] put on. These are usually made from plastic and individually moulded to fit the child. The plastic can be in all kinds of colours and designs to suit the child. They are often jointed under the foot and have leather or velcro straps. The leg splint that is lying on the floor shows the design more clearly.
