The poster is A1 size

[600 x 840mm]

This poster was conceived and illustrated by Helen Shoesmith as part of her work towards an MA in Design: Illustration for Children's Publishing.

The poster shows story book style characters illustrating the letters of the alphabet. It is a fresh, fun resource to inspire the book world to include disabled children. In the process it will charm children and their families and the people who work with them whilst demonstrating good inclusive practice.

Helen individually researched and created each image using many of the In The Picture images as inspiration. Helen said: "The alphabet poster I produced aimed not to make a big deal about disabilities, by this I mean that a character's disability should not be the main focus of the illustration but rather what each character is doing should."

Please note: This poster is not a learning tool for teaching letter and word recognition.

Copies of the poster cost £5 each [including postage and packing]. Please note that prices may vary for countries outside the UK to cover the increased cost of postage.
