Research demonstrates the importance and the impact - for all children - of experiencing an inclusive culture in their playing and learning environments.

The Disability Equality Duty requires education and early years' settings to take a proactive approach to promoting disability equality and eliminating discrimination.

The Early Years' Foundation Stage states - "Posters, pictures and other resources on display will show the setting's positive attitude towards disability, and to ethnic cultural and social diversity. They will help children and families to recognise that they are valued."

About In The Picture's two inclusive posters - an Inclusion Manager recently wrote in our guest book:

"I think the poster is a brilliant idea. It is a simple and yet powerful means of raising awareness of disability and showing children with a range of disabilities in enabling and positive situations. An effective child friendly format that will be useful in all settings."
